PROGNOZ to develop forecasting system for Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry
Perm | November 22, 2011—PROGNOZ won a tender announced by the Kazakh Oil and Gas Institute to develop a monitoring, analysis, and forecasting software suite for Kazakhstan’s oil and gas industry up to 2030.
The solution will collect, store, and process indicators from the fuel and energy sector as well as macroeconomic indicators broken down by countries of the world. Indicators for Kazakhstan in particular focus on key oil producers and other energy-producing countries.
PROGNOZ experts will develop a set of models, such as a macroeconomic model of Kazakhstan, an input-output model, and a fuel and energy balance. Such models will help assess the overall impact of the oil and gas industry on the Republic’s economy and forecast further development for the industry and the country as a whole under various external scenarios and industry-specific as well as public controls.
